Information About Paola - Oxford teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Paola:
I am a free-lance mezzo soprano and operatic director. I studied Music at the University of Oxford where I specialised in solo performance and the academic study of the operas of Verdi and Rossini. I then went on to do a specialised course in operatic performance at Birkbeck College, University of London. I am passionate about the history of music, as well as all types of singing.
I have been a private tutor for three years, teaching girls of all ages to sing. I teach classical, jazz and pop singing, whether people are just looking for a way to sing for fun or are thinking of a career in music. I can also prepare students for grade exams.
I believe that a firm technical foundation is essential to getting the most out of your voice, whether you do it for fun or are on a path to a career. I like to find ways to make learning these fundamentals fun, in the context of the music that the student likes to sing. Ultimately, I see this as leading to being able to tell a great story through song, which is what it's really all about.
