Personal Description:

I am a friendly and enthusiastic musician with experience in the industry, keen to inspire budding musicians to achieve their creative ambitions!
Having completed my BA and MA Degrees in Music Performance & Composition, I have current and specialised knowledge on a variety of aspects of music study:
- Composition
- Flute Performance
- Vocal Performance
- Music Theory

I work professionally as a Composer, Flautist and Singer, working with a variety of musical styles and genres. In my composing, I have written for a variety of instrumentations including choral (SATB and SSAA), chamber ensemble, solo and chamber orchestra and opera. My most recent recognition for my choral work was given by the '2020 Schellhorn Prize for Sacred Music Composition Competition', where I gained an honourable mention for a newly written sacred choral piece. I am a published composer in the CoMA Catalogue, and in 2021 the published piece received a professional performance in Canada. In my performance work, I regularly offer bespoke musical arrangements and performances in a variety of styles and genres for weddings, social/commercial events, recitals and shows. I am also a Flautist and co-founder of Crescent Chamber Orchestra; a modern orchestra with a mission to inspire participation from a range of ages and abilities, through both performing and creating, in all types of music.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for the past few years, and have previous experience working within a music tuition company, so I understand the requirements to work well with students and the younger generations. I am flexible, adaptable and committed, so will ensure that the sessions are run to suit the student's desires and personal goals.

Tutoring Approach:

My aims are to increase confidence, further knowledge and push creativity & exploration- the key ingredients for a successful and blossoming musician!
