Personal Description:

I am an experienced and qualified musician specialising in Piano performance as well as a keen composer, songwriter, music producer and guitar player. I studied Music at the University of Leeds (ranked 5th for Music in the UK Complete University Guide 2023) achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree. I have extensive experience performing in pop/rock and classical music ensembles, and as a soloist.

Tutoring Experience:

I began teaching during my time studying and have since built a sizeable clien**Contact Detail Removed** of private students in Tower Hamlets, East London with an age range of 5 to adult. Standards range from complete beginners to grade 7.

Tutoring Approach:

Other than improving your playing technique, skills you will learn include theory and being able to read music, improving your musical ear and creative skills such as improvising or composing. These are all skills that can be developed from the very beginning including with young children.

I would love to hear what you want to get out of learning the piano wether this to be to progress up the grades or play for pure enjoyment. In any case, playing music you enjoy is critical if you're going to stay motivated and inspired. I teach range of playing styles from classical to pop.

For grades, I teach the ABRSM syllabus which is the most popular exam board for classical learners. Graded exams consist of learning pieces, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading a short piece and listening exercises designed to test your musical ear.
