Personal Description:

I am a driven Pop and Rock musician with a fresh perspective on music. I have a degree in Creative Musicianship and have been teaching singing and guitar full-time for the last five years. Apart from teaching music, I also write and record my own music, as well as fronting a function band that plays weddings and parties all over the UK. I believe that every student is unique, and together we are going to work on what makes you special.

Tutoring Experience:

After working with students of all ages and backgrounds, both in group sessions and privately, I know how to tailor the lessons to the students needs and aspirations. We will together, in your own pace, work with material that inspires, motivates, and pushes you out of your comfort zone to discover things you did not think you had.

Tutoring Approach:

As a guitar teacher, a few things we will look at:

• Learning your favourite songs
• Techniques such as strumming, fingerpicking, palm muting, hammer-ons, pull-offs, bending, tapping
• Understanding scales, modes, and chords
• Learning how to read music from sheet music, charts, or tabs
• Improvisation and writing your own solos
• Songwriting, recording, and production of your own song ideas and material
• accompanying your own singing if this is something you want to learn.

As a vocal coach, a few things we will look at:

• Finding your unique voice
• Extending your vocal range
• Voice qualities (chest voice, mixed voice, head voice, falsetto)
• Vocal effects (vocal distortion/ rasp/ twang)
• Audition preparation (Performance anxiety/ stage presence)
• Prevention of vocal damage
• Vocal harmonies and music theory
• Songwriting and recording and production of your own song ideas and material
• Basics of guitar and piano playing and accompaniment
