Personal Description:

I am a music production tutor based in Birmingham, specialising in computer based music composition and Electronic music, with a have a degree in Music Production and a BTEC in Music Practice. I currently offer tuition in Logic, Ableton and Reason, as part of comprehensive music production courses. All aspects of music production are covered, along with song composition techniques, across a range of alternative genres, from Drum and Bass and other forms of electronic music, to pop, rock and metal. Mixing and mastering techniques to prepare music for commercial release are also covered as part of an extensive course. Lessons can be tailored to suit your needs, so please feel free to ask.

I also have over 2 years experience working in retail and after sales support, demonstrating / teaching both software & hardware at a major music technology retail store.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition is laid back while aiming for the maximum learning achievement for my pupils. Feel at ease and able to speak your mind when it comes to music production and song composition - at the end of the day no music is 'right' or 'wrong', it's all down to personal opinion! Encouraging freedom of expression and experimentation within music is a fundamental part of why I teach.
