Information About Oliver - Waltham Forest teacher
I am a freelance drummer and percussionist based in Walthamstow E17. I graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2013 with a 2:1 Bmus degree. As a drummer I have performed in many different venues including a 2 month run of 'The Billy Holiday Story ' in Charing Cross Theatre on London's West End, the Bull's Head Club in Barnes as part of the London Jazz Festival and Clarence House in the presence of HRH Prince Charles . As a percussionist I have performed with professional orchestras including the Halle Orchestra, English National Opera, Opera North, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and London Sinfonietta.
I have had the opportunity to teach in a wide variety of settings including primary schools, specialist music schools and music services where I have taught one to one lessons and group sessions. I have also taught, performed at and led outreach sessions in collaboration with London Philharmonic Future Firsts at the Royal Festival Hall and with the percussion quartet 'Perc'm' at Chethams School of Music, The Purcell School and Malborough College.
I am very happy to teach at any level from beginner to advanced and am able to teach any musical genre a client would want to learn. Through my teaching I am able to address student's technical issues, posture and injury prevention, reading music and instrumental grades.
I own a large amount of percussion instruments and drum kits for teaching purposes.
