**ONLINE TUITION AVAILABLE** I am a brass player and singer and enjoy listening to and playing different genres of music. I spend most of my week either playing the trumpet, cornet or other brass instruments or teaching (Cornet, Trumpet and Music Theory), I also often work with local orchestras and bands.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had a teaching role in local primary schools for the past 6-years and have been teaching and instructing music and music theory both privately and within music organisations for over 3-years. I teach Music Theory Grades 1 to 5 where I have taught both groups and individuals as well as prepared students for both their GCSEs and A-Levels.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a strong believer in many skills that can be gained from learning and playing music when you have to read the notes, understand the clef and key signature, listen when playing alongside other musicians and master the instrument. The best way to teach music is to encourage and educate allowing the growing musician to express themselves and their own music to their interpretation and that of the composer. Choosing music for a pupil is a fine balance between enjoying both the playing and ensuring a good challenge that will push the student to better themselves and their playing. I have taught pupils working towards ABRSM and Trinity grades as well as students who want to progress and work on music for fun.
