Information About Nathaniel - Bath teacher - (1 review)
This is how 4 referees rated Nathaniel:
My name is Nathaniel and I'm an early keyboard specialist and recitalist and teach a variety of keyboard instruments.
I trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Carole Cerasi and then travelled extensively throughout Europe to further my studies, playing for some of the great early keyboard players around today.
I am passionate about the power of classical music and also of the impact that studying an instrument can have.
I taught my first piano lesson to my French teacher as a teenager, and over the following 15 years have gone on to build up a wealth of experience and skill in teaching the craft of not only learning to play, but expressing oneself through an instrument.
I'm a performer but teaching has always been a big part of my life and I'm very passionate about it.
I have also given several masterclasses in London.
I'm definitely of the nurturing and encouraging variety and I believe that the best way to learn is in a relaxed and natural way.
I like to inspire and I'm certainly not rigid in my approach. Rather I work with who you are and at which stage you are at. Music is a sort of therapy and so is learning an instrument.
My job is to make myself obsolete, or as Leonardo da Vinci said; 'It is a poor pupil who does not surpass his master'!
