Information About Nanette - Redhill teacher
This is how a referee rated Nanette:
Hello everyone, my name is Nanette! I have been playing the violin for 12 years now (I know) and have loved it… almost every step of the way. Initially I was trained by the London Bridge project where the style of learning was all about memory and technique and when I left, I found love in completing ABRSM practical grades to showcase the hard work I put into my practice. As I have gotten older, romantic pieces and technique riddled pieces such as Vivaldi and the likes of Bach have really caught my eye. I am here to help students enjoy the violin when it gets tough or if you just want someone to teach you the basics, that is also me :)
I have taught the violin previously for about 6 months. My family is quite musical so naturally I aid their learning and development. I am also not just capable of music tuition but I am also (by current profession) an academic tutor therefore I have the skillset to do so successfully.
Getting to know what it is my students would like out of their time with me, and seeing what extra I can provide. I then like to get to know their level, whether that be via ABRSM books or their general music theory knowledge as the two are definitely intertwined. Having my violin with me to play along when students get stuck, and drawing visual representations are certainly an approach that go unnoticed but can help when I cannot convey a particular technique!
