Information About Eleanor Morgan - Peckham teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Eleanor Morgan:
I am a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Jazz Saxophone. I have been playing Music in London for over 5 years, in a variety of bands across a variety of genres.
I studied classical clarinet up to grade 8 level prior to my degree. I have always been interested in classical and jazz music, and through my time at Trinity Laban I collaborated with the classical and composition courses.
I currently play sax in a touring techno band (called Fat Dog), I am interested in taking saxophone out of it's stereotypical contexts.
I have performed my own work for jazz quartet in the London Jazz Festival, played at the Southbank Centre with Tomorrow's Warriors, and at the Roundhouse main stage with Fat Dog.
During my time at Trinity I was part of an outreach programme playing jazz big band music (which involved reading complex sheet music) in London secondary schools. As well as the performance aspects we would run workshops afterwards, which gave me experience teaching school children.
Outside of that I have taught beginner saxophone and intermediate clarinet to a few students.
My Approach to Tuition is incredibly student led. For young children I think it's important to find what they enjoy about the instrument, or learn songs they already know, making playing music a fun thing to do. Or if students have a specific goal they want to achieve I will happily tailor a scheme of practise around that.
I am able to teach classical grades or jazz grades on both saxophone and clarinet
