Personal Description:
Hi and thank you for visiting our page. My name is Mick and for years, I wanted to offer very affordable lessons in our home town of Greater Belfast and throughout all of Northern Ireland, a chance I did not have as a kid and many of us wished we did. I have been so fortunate to have music in my life both playing and touring around Ireland and around the world, playing and writing new music, while recording new songs on guitar, banjo and mandolin and even performing them live on radio stations and in large outdoor venues.
Upon returning to N Ireland, we decided we wanted to be a part of this musical future in the greater Belfast area (or any part of Northern Ireland) by giving adults, teens and children the same chance to succeed at music as we had, even if they are total beginners, no matter your age or the ability.
​My tutoring is created to help anyone who wants to make music a hobby or career or something in between, it's your choice.
We offer music lessons in Guitar (six and twelve string), Mandolin and Mandola, Singing, Banjo (four and five string) and Ukulele as well as music theory. We are centrally located in the metro area, accessible from Bangor to Lisburn to Glengormley, and many students come from as far as Portaferry, Armagh and Newry for their lessons. Wherever you are with your music, you are welcome in our comfortable environment either face-to-face or online. We are here to help you, whoever you are, You are our Star!
Tutoring Experience:
I began with training my own secondary school students in 1992 while teaching music, maths and english, and as the years went on, added all types of learners to our school when we could see the need to help students from primary school to Uni to adults. Your experience with us will be second to none as we have upgraded all teaching and computing systems for 2023. Teaching students all these years has been a brilliant experience and since we have our own band since 1988 we bring our experience, knowledge and fun to your lessons.
