Personal Description:
Before relocating to Northern Ireland in 2021, I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I am a full-time music professional who has been teaching, performing and composing for over 20 years. I mainly teach electric and acoustic guitar for private tuition. My qualifications include Grade 8 examination in electric guitar (Rockschool) and a Master of Philosophy in Music Composition (The University of Hong Kong). In addition, I have a strong background in jazz theory and improvisation technique.
Tutoring Experience:
I have worked as lecturer and acoustic/electric guitar tutor in various universities, colleges and music centres, such as the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Design Institute.
Tutoring Approach:
- Tailor lessons to meet students’ diverse needs from different age group, background and interest.
- Coach and inspire students to learn, to perform in public, or to take graded examinations.
- Teach a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from folk, pop, rock, blues, funk, to jazz.
