Information About Michael - Edinburgh teacher

Personal Description:

Hi, I'm a musician from Edinburgh. I play guitar. I have around 20 years experience of playing guitar, gigs, writing and recording.

Tutoring Experience:

I have given guitar lessons before. And I have experience of working with young people and children on the Autistic spectrum.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is first to find out what you want from playing the guitar. And I adapt the learning process to your needs and ambitions.
There is a strong emphasis on clarity of instruction and making it a relaxed and productive use of our time. I have a masters degree from Goldsmiths College university of London which has an excellent reputation for educating teachers. The guitar is a very dynamic and creative instrument. I believe in bringing forward your own way of playing but also can provide you with the technical skills to learn how to flourish for yourself not just as a guitarist but as a performer, writer of songs ( if that's what you want to do) and how to participate effectively within a band situation. Most of all I hope the lessons are enjoyable and my students feel confident in their abilities.
