Information About Changsu - Weybridge teacher

Personal Description:

I am a 37-year-old drummer with a Grade 8 certificate in drumming, who is based in Surrey. I have been playing the drums since I was 18, but I have insensibly played the drums for recent 10 years. I can teach a variety of genres such as pop, funk and rock, and provide tuition for grade exams, as well as bespoke lessons.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a couple of years of drum teaching experience in South Korea and USA. I also have an official teaching license issued from The Ministry of Education in South Korea that I obtained during my undergraduate study.

Tutoring Approach:

When teaching, I consider both the purpose and goals of the learner, as well as what level they are at when planning the sessions. Generally, I suggest the following curriculum for learners:

For Beginners (Up to Grade 2): Introduction, Notation and Definitions, Basic Rudiments (Single and Double Strokes, Paradiddles, Flams and Triplets), Basic Beats and fill, Fatback Grove and Grade 1 or 2 level songs

For Intermediate (Up to Grade 5): Notation and Reading(Dynamics), Rudiments (Paradiddles, Rolls, Flams and Ruffs, Hands and Feet Combinations), Beats and fill, Improvisation and Interpretation Practice, Advanced Feet Patterns (Triplet) and Grade 3 to 5 level songs

For Advanced (Over Grade 6) and Casual: Customised lessons upon student's request
