Personal Description:

Melissa is an enthusiastic vocal coach with over 10 years experience working 121 and in group environments with both Adults and Children. She is especially adept at working with singers to find 'their unique voice', and through a variety of exercises and techniques will help to establish strong foundations to encourage vocal freedom confidence.

Melissa has over 25 years’ experience of performing experience as a singer and pianist and has participated in various groups, duos, and as a solo act. Her styles range from musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock and anything in between. Born in New Zealand, she was heavily involved in musical theatre both front and back of house before moving to the UK. In addition to teaching in her private studio Melissa also teaches currently at the BIMM Institute London and the Sing Space.

Wither you are singing for a hobby or to fulfil your creative passions Melissa will be able to assist you with her tailored approach to coaching.

Tutoring Experience:

Over ten years experience working with both Adults and Children. Melissa has worked as a musical director for musical theatre in her home town in New Zealand.

Tutoring Approach:

Melissa tailors her approach to tuition by creating individual academic plans for each student. As such she is able to offer assistance with various areas of musicality from vocal technique, stage presence and performance, to songwriting and music theory.
