Information About Max - Bristol teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Max:
Hey! I'm Max and I am a freelance musician, working primarily as a mixing and mastering engineer but also in artist development. I hugely enjoy coaching and tutoring musicians to fulfil their dreams of becoming professional musicians. I teach music production and singing for students of all abilities and ages. I run my won mixing and mastering business from my home studio, mostly focusing on metal/heavy genre music, but I have experience in a wide variety of acoustic and electronic music. I previously sang Bass in Winchester Cathedral Choir and was fortunate enough to have sung around the world in places such as the Vatican, The Kremlin, Moscow Conservatoire, New York City, and other international venues.
I've been teaching music production for about 4 years and singing for 1 year. During this time, it's been a huge pleasure to see countless aspiring musicians unleash their creativity during my lessons and I hope to continue to inspire new tutees for time to come.
- PRODUCTION LESSONS -
Whether you're just starting out or you've been producing for years, I can help you unlock the next level of your productions. I teach music production from beginner to intermediate level across various DAWs (production software) for all ages. You can choose between electronic music or live/acoustic music (bands etc.), or even a mixture of both if you're feeling brave! In either case, you will learn:
- Basic Software Functionality
- Project Management
- Sound design/Tone crafting*
- MIDI Programming
- Microphone Placements & Recording Techniques*
- Music Theory*
I teach in Ableton Live, but you can learn any of the above techniques with an asterisk (*) in the DAW of your choice. Any technique without an asterisk will require you to have a basic understanding of your software.
- SINGING LESSONS -
I try to create a relaxed, fun, and nurturing learning environment for my students while also using goal setting to track progress. In my lessons, you'll learn a series of exercises that will allow you to reach the full potential of your voice without strain or injury, while also developing depth, stamina and ultimate control of your voice. We will then use these exercises as a reference point when you come to sing your pieces.
By using these exercises as the basis for reference and practice, you will:
- Expand your range
- Develop a unique style
- Learn projection, annunciation and stage presence
- Reduce performance anxiety
- Increase stamina and endurance
All abilities and voice types welcome. If you are preparing for an exam, please let me know when you reach out!
