Personal Description:
I am an award-winning Master of Music graduate (attained from the Royal Northern College of Music), that has been teaching and performing professionally as a guitarist for the last 12 years. I have extensive experience playing on West End touring shows, to studio sessions, to music festivals across Europe.
I have extensive experience of playing live and have performed at a number of prestigious venues and events, including Manchester Opera House, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The Lowry Theatre, The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Jazz Festival, Ignite Festival, Lytham Festival, Manchester Day Festival, The Beginning Live, Colne Blues Festival, BOTS, Dot to Dot Festival and many more.
Over the course of my career, I have had the pleasure of playing guitar for various artists such as Phil Thompson, Mario Jose, Mike Sweeney, Chesqua, Design Rewind, The Soul Convicts, Vienna Blood, Andrew Bello, Mike Aremu, among others.
Tutoring Experience:
I am DBS checked and have been teaching for nearly 10 years. I have been fortunate enough to have studied with some of the best musicians and educators in the world, all of whom have inspired me and pushed me to be the best I can be. For this, and many other reasons, I want to pass on this wisdom and enthusiasm for learning and music, to you.

All lessons are completely tailored to you as an individual and built around your goals and are priced as little as £20 for 30 minutes.
Whether you are a hobbyist or professional, my approach to teaching is engaging and empowering. I can help you shine a light on areas that need improvement, and help you hone your skills to eventually become a self-sufficient learner in the future. Most importantly, I keep the whole process enjoyable and engaging — because isn't that the reason we all picked up an instrument, to have fun!

Matt is very professional and personable and was chosen for his background, taste in music, education (Masters at the Royal Northern) and his gigging, all the aspects that we knew would get our son to relate to him.
Matt has also been a great sounding board, happy to advise and steer as needed.
