Information About Matthew - Tooting teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional cellist, pianist and composer, and have built up a varied career consisting of performance, accompaniment and composition for various contexts alongside a busy teaching schedule. My work often involves collaboration with artists of other disciplines, such as dancers and visual artists.I am available to teach across London.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 7 years teaching experience and have taught a variety of ages, from small children to middle-aged adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I always seek to give the student a good grounding in technique whilst at the same time developing and drawing on their innate musicality. I firmly believe that there is a musician in everyone. Even people who describe themselves as tone-deaf can develop their musicality given the right approach. I offer a free trial lesson so that we can meet each other and see if we could work together.
