Information About Matthew - Manchester teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Matthew:
I am a Masters student at the Royal Northern College of Music. I graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a First Class Honours in Cello Performance. I started learning the cello at the age of 13 and achieved Grade 8 distinction at the age of 17. I have won awards from the ABRSM for the highest marks received for particular grades.
I have experience teaching all ages in person and online. I am a cello teacher for Yorkshire Young Musicians as well as for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. I have previously acted as a Lead Ambassador and Assistant Tutor for the Benedetti Foundation and teach online for the ARCO project (a charitable organisation providing online music lessons to disadvantaged countries). Under my tuition, students have obtained high in ABRSM and Trinity examinations and have even gone on to obtain Scholarships when applying for University and Conservatoire courses.
I have a number of approaches tailored for the individual needs of each student. I have adapted techniques from existing methods including Suzuki, Colour Strings, Faulliard and Piatti. My first priority is maintaining your love for music, to ensure that your journey on the cello is fun!
