Personal Description:
I am a professional saxophonist and flautist with over 10 years experience in performing and teaching. Since graduating Leeds College of Music with a 1st class degree with honours in Jazz I have performed across the UK and Europe in and at many prestigious venues and festivals including The Barbican Centre, Paradiso Amsterdam, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, We Out Here and Love Supreme.
Tutoring Experience:
For over 10 years I have taught saxophone and flute privately and at music centres. I have experience teaching students who are very beginner to professional level and from the ages of 7 to 70. My specialism is jazz, improvisation and other contemporary styles however I have a background in classical music.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that playing music is a joyous thing that anyone can do and when learning to play an instrument this fact should be at the core of your experience. Every one of my students gets lessons tailored specifically for their needs because everyone learns, plays and experiences music in different ways.
