Personal Description:

I am a dedicated music professional specialising in saxophone and clarinet. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring. A graduate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - Batchelor Jazz (performance) as well as from the HAMU Prague Academy specialising in classical I am active in the Scottish music scene as both a performer, composer and recording/session musician.

Based at Otago Lane North studios in Glasgow's West End

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored for over 10 years, saxophone, clarinet, piano, theory and general music making. In addition I have volunteered for various community music initiatives for several years, including Sistema Scotland teaching children aged 5-8 and Hear My Music for children with autism.

I teach a range of styles of music, from Jazz to Classical and everything in between and can teach all ages. My classes are fun, engaging, student centred and informed to help you achieve your full potential. From Erik (5/5): Martin is a great teacher. His approach to the student is very friendly, very relaxed and understanding. He shows respect to the student and is patient with you. And does not mind to crack a joke here or there to lift up the spirits and keep a good atmosphere. Very engaging and you can clearly see he loves what he does, which is so important for students to feed off that energy to bolster our motivation for learning and wanting to improve. Highly recommend this teacher, you wont regret it.
