Personal Description:
I was born in London and grew up in the Rock scene of London in the 70's. I moved to the Middle East in the late 70's and then moved to NYC to study music in the early 80's. I have been the band leader for a few successful bands. Zaviot a jazz quartet that toured internationally from 1986-1989 and played at the Nurenberg Jazz festival, Eialt jazz festival and many others over the years. In 1998 I formed the band WhiteFlag project; the first Palestinian Israeli band in the world. We have many international credits including the Montreux Jazz festival/ Switzerland and the Creation of Peace festival in Russia, to name a few. I love teaching and simply believe that the more people who 'touch' music will enrich their lives. I will teach anyone who has a desire to learn and do not care if they are beginners or full time professionals.
I have gold and platinum record credits as a producer and experience in many genres.
Only Good Stuff
Tutoring Experience:
I have been working and teaching for over 25 years, privately and in music conservatories. I have a degree in music from NYC and teach Bass Guitar, Guitar, Theory of Music, Music Production and Music Technology.
Tutoring Approach:
Each student will have their own unique way of learning. I believe strongly in developing an individual language for each student and developing the 'curriculum' for each student as the lessons evolve so that at all times the student is studying according to their own 'individuality'. No two people are alike and in music this is an advantage as music is a wonderful way to discover and express ones own individuality. I strongly promote and support this.
