Personal Description:

I've been playing acoustic and electric guitar for over 30 years. I teach from home in Fenham in Newcastle or come to you if you live within a ten mile radius. I teach a range of styles including rock, blues, indie, folk and country to beginners, intermediate and advanced guitarists. I've played in a number of bands over the years both as a rhythm and lead guitarist.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught guitar for over 15 years and when I was a full-time teacher ran a number of over-subscribed guitar clubs.

Tutoring Approach:

I always aim to create a relaxed environment in which the lesson is as much about fun and enjoyment as instruction. Lessons will be tailored to the specific requirements and interests of the student. Whether your aim is to get into a band, perform publicly with confidence or simply play for your own pleasure, I can help you achieve it.
