Hope to see you!
I have 10 years experience in teaching students 5-20 years old, I also can teach adult (20+) professional or amateur students.
I worked in several primary schools so i am experienced in group teaching.
As a ex- fellow member of Southbank Sinfonia 2017 i was involved in many school projects, including workshops and back to back to playing with school orchestras.
I have DBS check.
I focus my attention on the technical side of the performance and try to give a strong technical base to all my students. It gives a freedom in performance and repertoire. At the same time i try to find individual approach to every student and also develop their musicality.

The only problem with her teaching is that I found her to be a little unencouraging. I was nervous when I first played for her and she didn't offer any reassuring comments to make me feel at ease.
After the lesson I felt a bit demoralised. Even though I am not very good at playing, I felt that there could have been encouraging words to push me along. Perhaps my age (19) elicited a more to-the-point approach in her teaching.
However, Maria will definitely be a very good tutor for someone to pass exams and become proficient in playing violin. I can't afford her lessons anymore, but I would recommend to anyone looking to efficiently find themselves at their next musical checkpoint.
There is a good focus on technical aspects, allowing pieces to come naturally. I would highly recommend her for adults and children alike.
I met with Maria and my daughter had her first lesson last week and I was impressed with her professional approach and clarity. She also offered support with Theory.
I am hoping that we continue to work alongside Maria over the next year in the lead up to grade 6.
