Information About Maria - Manchester teacher

Personal Description:

Hi everyone,
I am Maria, Royal Northern College of Music bachelor alumni and oboe teacher with more than 6 years of experience. Currently finishing my masters degree with Stephane Rancourt, I have been tought by Melinda Maxwell in England, Jesus Fuster in Spain and Arnaldo de Felice in Italy, having had the chance to meet his teacher, the oboist Heinz Holliger in Switzerland. As a student, I have participated in many masterclasses with internationaly renowned artists such as Francois Leleux, Jonathan Kelly, Philippe Tondre, Oliver Stankiewicz or Diethelm Jonas, amongst others… having also the chance to perform alongside the great Chamber Orchestra of Europe and many symphony orchestras in England, Spain and Poland

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught oboe, piano, musicianship and music theory for 6 years at a variety of different levels. I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with students of all ages and habilities. As part of my teacher training, I have completed a pedagogy course at the RNCM, including an internship in a primary school, lectures training or workshops, being myself a part of the active teaching roll. I love enjoying the results of my students and I keep using the experience gained in Poland where I was also trained in musicianship, harmony and solfeggio.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that all students are different and each requires a unique approach. I intend to respect that in organizing my lessons. I want my students to have fun during their lessons but at the same time be as productive as possible. In my lessons I use various teaching methods such us the Kodaly, Dalcroze and Alexander Technique.
