Personal Description:
I am a Professional Flautist, Singer and Composer based in London. I studied Jazz Flute at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with famous flautists including Gareth Lockrane, Ian Clarke and more. In addition, I also studied Jazz Voice as my second study at Guildhall with Tina May. I am really excited to share everything I learned with you!
I gig regularly with various groups in and around London as well as in Europe (Jazz Duo 'Maria & James', Jazz/Folk Fusion Sextet 'Topoľana' and more). I was also the Flute Chair holder for National Youth Jazz Orchestra between 2018-2020.

Tutoring Experience:
I am experienced in Jazz, Classical music, Funk and Pop and have been teaching flute, jazz improvisation and music theory for over 6 years now including private tuition for both children and adults, group improvisation lessons and music workshops.
I can also help you prepare for your Grade Exam if you wish to take one.
Tutoring Approach:
My main aim in my teaching is to inspire students to enjoy playing music and to create a personal connection with their instrument. I encourage my students to find their own voice and be creative and imaginative with their instrument. I cover a wide range of topics, always trying to accommodate the needs and interests of my students. The topics include:
- Technique (becoming fluent on your instrument)
- Sound
- Learning Pieces/Tunes
- Improvisation
- Ear Training (and connecting your inner ear to your instrument)
- Listening/Transcription, discovering new music
