Personal Description:

I am a Music Teacher with a degree in Music at the University of Évora, Portugal and a Master degree in Music Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. All of this playing bassoon and having the experience of playing recitals or concerts with different orchestras and chamber groups in Spain, Portugal and UK.
With Bass guitar I studied with Félix Santos at the Ateneo Jazz Madrid in Spain. I have also played in several bands or big bands doing every style such as rock, hard rock, funk, soul, jazz, latin, pop or folk music in Spain, Portugal and UK.

Tutoring Experience:

I have more than 20 years of professional experience as a freelance musician and private tutor. Mostly individual lessons of instrument with children and adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I am interested in analysing the students' needs and see how I can help them. The main point is to offer a personal tuition based on the students and reach their commitment through their will of learning.
For every instrument we want to learn it is necessary to work on a basic technique to get the feeling of playing that instrument. it is necessary to memorise and internalise some mechanical moves in order to get the groove you want.
So the lessons must be organised by technique (finger exercises, scales, arpeggios and basic harmony) and any song you want to play on bass guitar or any piece you are interested in or you need for exams on bassoon.
