Information About Marc - Poole teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional full time guitar teacher with over 35 years playing experience.

Having taken up the classical guitar at the age of six I have developed an in-depth knowledge of most other styles and genres during my time. Music and guitars are my life, so whether it's The Beatles to Bach, fingerstyle to Flamenco (or most anything else) I am capable of teaching it from absolute beginners to an advanced level (Grade 8+)

I am a published songwriter, and in addition to the instrumental side I also offer both singing and song writing tuition upon request.

I have a passion for the music of the late Nick Drake; having listened to and played his music most of my life I have huge amount of experience in dealing with his unique playing style and finger picking techniques.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 20 years teaching experience with the guitar, the last 15 of which have been full-time.

Tutoring Approach:

I specialise in taking a personal approach to my teaching, adapting the lesson structure, material and pace to each individual students requirements. I have a wide range of experience having taught students of all ages and abilities; I currently have students as young as 5, right through to adults over 65.

I also have experience teaching both adults and children with learning difficulties, priding myself on being able to adapt lessons to suit the persons particular learning style.
