Personal Description:

Lydia was born in 1995 in Greece. She studied with a scholarship, piano performance with Dr. Tatiana Pageorgiou and graduated in 2019 from DEREE- The American College of Greece with a BA (Hons) in Music Performance. She recieved her Solo Piano Diploma from the Conservatory/Greek Ministry of Culture with the grade “Excellent unanimously and First Prize” in 2017. As a parallel studies student in both, DEREE-The American College of Greece and University of Athens she received the Parallel Studies Award in 2018. For her achievments and high performances she also received the Oustanding Student Award in 2019.
As a pianist, she has performed in Greece and abroad with various piano recitals and has played with Syngelaki Orchestra Mozart's Concerto No. 20 and Chopin's second piano concerto. In 2017, in the context of the first Deree Open Fest she gave a full piano recital performing works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and Prokofiev. She has participated in the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg in the piano masterclasses of Dina Yoffe, Frank Wibaut and Ya-Fei Chuang.
Currently, Lydia is doing her Masters in Music Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Professor Aaron Shorr.

Tutoring Experience:

She has been a teacher in Greece since 2017, and has taught all levels and ages.

Tutoring Approach:

Her approach to music tuition depends on the students age, level and personal aims. It is worth mentioning that when it comes to young ages, she successfully combines creativity and music games with the art of piano playing in order to encourage and inspire young children to explore the beautiful world of music.
