Having graduated from reading music at King's College, Cambridge in 2018, I am an experienced musician with a broad academic background. I achieved a distinction in dipABRSM piano performance in 2014, and also hold a diploma in clarinet performance, and grade 8 theory.
Since 2018, I've been teaching piano and music theory to all ages and abilities, from 6 year olds to adults, university students to working professionals, currently teaching around 30 lessons per week. My pupils have a 100% ABRSM pass rate, and I have prepared students for ABRSM grades 1 - 8, as well as jazz and theory exams. I have also helped students with GCSE, A-level music, and university applications.
I have quite a broad musical background, with classical training, orchestral and choral experience, and experience of performing, recording and writing in jazz and pop genres. So, I bring all of this experience to my teaching practice to help my pupils achieve whatever their goals might be - whether it’s learning how to play advanced classical repertoire, working towards top grades in ABRSM exams, or improving their composition or improvisation skills. My approach is centred upon incorporating students’ individual musicality and interests in their lessons, whilst giving them the technical skills and foundations they need to excel.
