Personal Description:
I began playing piano at the age of eight and progressed swiftly through the ABRSM syllabus, going on to study composition, conducting, ensemble playing, solo performance and musicology at Bath Spa University.
I currently perform solo concerts and provide accompaniment for examinations, ensembles, social events and choral societies.
Tutoring Experience:
Over fifteen years experience teaching privately and in schools. Regular accompanist.
My pupils experience a high exam success rate and, most importantly, develop enjoyment in simply playing.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that everybody can enjoy making music regardless of age or perceived skill level; my teaching style derives primarily from this approach.
I have taught pupils of all ages and abilities, including those with learning difficulties, and adapt my teaching to the needs and expectations of each pupil.
Please note I offer both hour and half-hour slots.
