Information About Luke - Hitchin teacher

Personal Description:

I am a full-time, classically trained, multi-instrumentalist teacher and performer with over 25 years experience. My main focus is the classical guitar but I also teach electric and acoustic guitar. I love playing, creating, listening and sharing my experience of music with other people.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for over 15 years and have helped many students achieve their aims with graded exams, performing and improvising. I have taught adults and children of all ages privately, in secondary schools and at specialist music schools.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching focus is on developing technique in order to express musical and emotional content. I aim to help students play the music they love quickly and effectively and to encourage lifelong learning.

My lessons are fun and engaging. I am always encouraging and patient whilst still challenging students to help them progress. I am sensitive to the different personalities, ages, learning styles and aims of my students and adjust my teaching accordingly.

I believe anyone can benefit from a musical education and should have the opportunity to do so regardless of age, background, learning or playing ability.
