Personal Description:
I am a 56 year old lady, married 35 years with 3 grown up daughters. I have lived in Malvern all my life. I trained & qualified at Birmingham Conservatoire after attending Grammar School.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 38 years, privately and in both state & public schools. Pupils have ranged from 4 years old to over 80 & include those with dyslexia. I teach individuals and small groups of friends.
Tutoring Approach:
I use an individual approach to teaching. I am happy to teach for exams ( I use the ABRSM ) or for pleasure and any type of music - classical, pop, folk, jazz … My main aim is for each pupil to enjoy music making in whatever way is appropriate for them.I use CD backings or live accompaniment if this is something the pupil enjoys.
