Personal Description:

My training was firstly at Music School in Sumy, Ukraine then at Music College, Sumy Ukraine. I then attended the State Academy of Arts in Voronezh, Russia from where I received my Diploma (Masters) in Instrumental Performing, specialising in orchestral wind and percussion instruments.

After graduating I became a teacher at Sumy Music College afterwards joining the Kharkov Opera Theatre for two years.I returned to Sumy Music College where I taught until leaving to live in England.

Tutoring Experience:

I had eighteen years' experience of flute teaching whilst living in Ukraine after my graduation. Whilst teaching in Sumy my pupils took part in an inter-town competition where they won second prize. Some of my pupils went on to join the Conservatoire themselves.

Since moving to England I have had more than ten years' experience as a private teacher working with a wide variety of age groups from primary school age to senior citizens. All my pupils who have entered grade exams have had successes, including many distinctions.

Tutoring Approach:

The focus of my teaching is to instruct and inspire the individual in my students musical development.This is accomplished through a variety of teaching styles. All incorporate the joy of music, the fundamentals of flute playing, specific practice designs, educational information, individual goals for the student's growth.

I have been a professional teacher of music for many yeas. All my students have obtained high marks on their exams. I have a sympathetic character and always have good relationships with my students. I try my best to keep my lessons interesting and stimulating.
