Personal Description:

Post grade 8 pianist with over 15 years of experience playing. Happy to give piano lessons at both my home and yours, whichever you find to be the most accommodating for you.

I have experience teaching students ranging from complete beginners to more advanced levels in Piano. I would be happy to accommodate whatever it is you hope to achieve from lessons. This can range from taking you through the ABRSM grades, teaching you how to play pieces that you enjoy, teaching you techniques to improve your overall playing or even focusing more on theory.

I have had the opportunity to teach a number of students already but am looking to increase the number of students I take on. I have experience with many age ranges and understand the different needs that there are between younger and older students.

I have 15 years worth of experience playing both the piano and cello having held ABRSM grade 8 piano for almost a decade. Alongside this, I have experience performing in formal and informal events to beyond a Grade 8 level.

I have had years of experience teaching more traditional classes but had discovered a love for teaching music specifically. This came on after many members of my orchestras have asked me to teach them what I know about how to play the piano and how to make it sound like a performance.

I am now a student doctor so professionalism is a core part of my being but I also understand that being a friendly face is important in the continuous motivation of those around me and especially my students

Tutoring Experience:

Tutoring Approach:

I would work with you to understand where you want to improve and what weaknesses you may have in pieces you are playing. I am happy to give specific instruction and direction for you to utilise both within lessons and outside of lessons during your own personal practice. I would recommend we keep a record of where you did well and what could be improved for each lesson in a notebook for you to keep. This would allow you to have a permanent record of my lessons to hand for as long as you need. Even after we decide that lessons have concluded.
