Tutoring Experience:

Liam has worked with the national citizen service to devise and deliver percussion workshops and train other practitioners in preparation for the program, the Arts Academy, Waltham Forest and Redbridge music services all of which he taught drum kit, percussion and lead samba and African drumming sessions. He now works at Lockers Park preparatory school where he teaches and devises the drum kit and percussion program and runs his own private tuition business from his home studio.

Tutoring Approach:

Liam's approach to teaching is understanding the students needs and desires from the lessons and planning accordingly to get the most out of the student and their lesson, whatever it is that might be. They might want to complete grades, and get into music college, or they might just want to try something new and exciting.
I believe hard work is key to development and progress, however it should be fun and rewarding… or there is no point doing it.
Liam is a very practical and realistic teacher who always looks forward and sees the whole picture, and therefore teaches in a very hands on and holistic way - getting the student to use as many senses as possible to learn and develop… rather than sticking music in front of them and telling them to play it until they get it right.
