Information About Leigh - North Ferriby teacher

Personal Description:

I have been playing guitar and other instruments since I was seven years old. I have been in bands and currently play and sing in a semi-professional band. I am a regular host at an open-mic and jam night at our local pub (many of my students come along). I have my own music available on Spotify. My day job is a senior nursing role eworking in the NHS in children's services.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching guitar for 13 years and my day job involves teaching of pre-registration, undergraduates, post graduates and members of hte public. I have a formal teaching qualiofication.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer bespoke guitar tuition for all ages from complete beginners. I do not not generally pursue exam curriculums as I strongly feel learning hte guitar should be fun, intuitive and largely self-directed. I do teach notation reading and music theory in bite size chunks necesary to making plkaying instruments understandable and to begin song writing. I beleive in getting people playing songs they love quickly and develop the skills around these songs.
