Personal Description:

My early musical studies in Guitar, Trumpet, Double Bass and Piano continued at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, music conservatoire and drama school located in the City of London.

I graduated as a trumpet performer and teacher and became a professional player for 26 years performing with many of London’s professional symphony and opera orchestras as well as musical ensembles and West End Shows

Tutoring Experience:

Throughout my professional playing career I also taught at various schools, private and public, as well as teaching private pupils, both children and adults.

I retired from performing in 2015 and since then have focused on teaching instrumental lessons in primary school settings as well as all ages privately with children, young people and adults.

Tutoring Approach:

My experience has shown me every student can learn to play an instrument to a proficient standard no matter his or her initial ability and as each learns in their own idiosyncratic way, I teach in that personalised fashion too.

£16.50 per half hour, £24.75 per 45 minute or £33.00 per hour lessons are normally given on a flexible basis from my home in Earls Barton, Northampton.

Tutoring at your home by negotiation.
