Personal Description:
Hi! I’m a recorder player and oboist with over 5 years of professional performance experience. I graduated from Bath Spa University with an MA in Music Performance, and have since been building a portfolio of experience both as a freelance performer and as part of various ensembles. As an oboist I mostly undertake orchestral session work, however as a recorder player I enjoy early music (medieval through to baroque) and perform renaissance music on instruments such as dulcians and shawms.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for just over a year and I am keen to gain more experience with students of all abilities and ages! I feel that my experience as a performer will allow me to give practical advice not only on your specific instrument but as a musician in general.
Travel information: I am unable to teach from home, therefore will happily travel to you! Please note that fuel expenses will be added on top of the tuition fee for anyone outside of Bath.
Tutoring Approach:
I am happy to work with you towards whatever your goals may be. We can work though grades, progress without taking exams or just play for fun.
