Personal Description:
I am a scholarship student at Royal Holloway's School of Music (BMus) looking to inspire others with their understanding and appreciation of Music Theory. I have an ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction in Music Theory and a Diploma from Trinity College in Piano Performance.

I am a member of the Independent Society of Musicians, the Musicians' Union, PRS/MCPS and The Royal Holloway Student Orchestra.
In addition to teaching privately, I am a published film score composer, having released three albums and have won numerous commissions for a variety of media productions.

Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching online for the past two years across a variety of age ranges and abilities. It truly is a privilege to watch my students grow in ability and confidence.
Tutoring Approach:
I welcome students studying all grades in Music Theory including preparation for ABRSM, GCSE and A levels. I cover all the major classical composers and styles and also offer instruction in composition, arranging and orchestration.
The lessons are bespoke for the learner. It's important we discuss your ambitions and help you achieve the goal you have set yourself. There are two approaches to music theory that we can take. Firstly, there is the traditional approach suited to those who have a particular interest in classical music. If you choose this approach, I will teach you how to read and write music so that you can easily negotiate your way around a music score.
A second, equally valid, approach is often taken by the producers of electronic music, for whom the computer counts as the central hub of their music production. A part of this approach uses the piano roll, rather than a score, as our tool of learning.
