Personal Description:
Whilst studying for my degree at Imperial College London, I studied violin with Adrian Levine and Rosemary Furniss at the Royal College of Music on an ASH music scholarship. As a performer I have a wealth of experience, including the BBC Proms and Glastonbury Festival. As well as my background in classical music, I play and teach traditional music, having studied with Mairi Campbell. I play in a band called the Southern Tenant Folk Union and played on Martin Bennett's album, Mackay's Memoirs.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over ten years experience teaching all ages and abilities.
Tutoring Approach:
Flexible approach, in that lessons with each student will be different. People learn in different ways and progress at varying rates and my lessons reflect that. I think many teachers fail to teach how to practise. It is important to play a little every day and I do expect a level of commitment from my students, to maximise what we can do with the time in lessons.
