Personal Description:

*Taking on new students from January 2023*

Offering Tuition in Singing and Violin for students of all ages.

As a professional singer, dancer, actor and musician, I graduated with a first class honours degree in musical theatre from Guildford School of Acting. I have subsequently performed in West End shows, Original London Casts and toured with No.1 shows across the country.

My performing work includes Original London Cast of 'Mrs Henderson Presents' (Noel Coward, West End), Original London Cast of 'Once' (Phoenix Theatre, West End), West End Revival of 'Brief Encounter' (Empire Cinema) and the No.1 UK tour of 'Cabaret'.

I work as a freelance actor and musician, between performing and writing, teaching is a big part of what I enjoy. I feel very passionately about bringing fun and joy to music lessons at the same time as inspiring confidence and self-expression. I love helping people to reach their goals and surprising themselves in what they can achieve!

Tutoring Experience:

Private Tuition - Singing/Violin
Mini Mozart - Music Group for Babies & Toddlers - Teacher/Workshop Leader
Perform UK - Performing Arts for 4-8yrs - Teacher/Workshop Leader
Stagecoach - Performing Arts for 8-16yrs - Teacher
Preludes - Music Teacher for Primary Schools

… My main focus with any student is to keep them as engaged as possible, I will tailor repertoire and lesson plans to suit each pupil as I believe working on music that students enjoy will naturally encourage practice.

For kids, I keep my lessons fast paced and very interactive, making sure they are engaged in the lesson at all times. Lessons will also be interspersed with games, music theory, reading and writing music.

I teach musical theatre/pop singing to beginners and intermedia**Contact Detail Removed**vels and make sure equal emphasis is discussed and placed on musicality, technicality, storytelling, and presentation.

I also teach violin to beginners, building classical technique whilst playing songs from whatever genre the student requests!

I encourage my students to be creative and unique in their self-expression, integrating short song-writing masterclasses during some of my sessions. This gives beginners (kids and adults) a wider context to use their musicality, building a sense of self confidence and achievement.

Tutoring Approach:

For individual tuition my fee is a rate of £30 per hour and £20 for half an hour.

I typically offer sessions on a weekly/fortnightly basis or also happy to keep lesson times flexible to suit the needs of each individual.

I also offer group sessions to those who enjoy learning with a sibling, friend or partner and online sessions.
