Personal Description:

Juan is an Argentinean double bass and bass guitar player based in London. He has played with many bands and in many genres in his hometown Mendoza, including rock, jazz, tango and folk music, also recording and producing many records in studio.
He studied Music Production at San Luis National University, before becoming an experienced performer, music producer, live sound engineer and music teacher.

Since arriving in London in 2015, he has been performing a wide variety of jazz music and Argentinian tango repertoire.
At present he is a member of 'Tango Terra Quartet' and works as a Freelance Double Bass player with Jazz Bands and folk groups. Also at the moment he is the regular bass guitar player at Lost Revellers folk band with which is doing regular tours all across the UK and Europe.
He is in much demand as a session player.
In 2017 he founded the 'Indo Jazz Quintet' at his own regular jazz night until 2019.
Also in 2018 he founded 'The Bounce Quartet' at his own regular jazz nigh with extensive success and great reviews in local media with which he continues to contribute and develop
the east London jazz jam scene.

Tutoring Experience:

• 2008-2010: Professor of Music Theory and Music History 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th year at Carlos Juan Rodríguez School, San Luis, Argentina.

• 2011-2016: Guitar and Bass teacher at Estudio 39 School of Rock, Mendoza, Argentina

-Arranging and conducting lessons to students aged 7 to adult.
-Organizing three showcases per year where students performed what they have learned.

• Also as a freelance teacher, extensive experience teaching individual lessons in people's homes.

Tutoring Approach:

As a Professor of guitar and electric bass guitar at ‘Estudio 39’ rock school in Mendoza and have a lot of experience teaching private classes for people of all ages. I played an important role in the organisation of three showcases per year so that students could perform what they have learnt.
