Personal Description:

I'm a versatile and proficient session bass player, recording and playing bass for a variety of UK based artists in genres such as flamenco, funk pop, and even classic rock in a Bon Jovi tribute band! In addition to my experience performing live and in the studio, I'm a graduate with First Class Honours from the University of Wolverhampton in Music Performance and Industries and I've performed in several musicals, toured, played on cruise ships and recorded live BBC sessions.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching professionally for 6 years, to age ranges from 9 years old until 60. I've taught all ages and abilities privately, and I've also done band workshop sessions in schools for 3 years. I also teach Rockschool grades, with a track record up to date of 3 distinctions and 1 merit.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching the bass is precise, yet fun and relaxed. My aim is for the student to walk away from the class knowing and being able to play something new. My philosophy for the bass is a focus on groove and feel for the particular song or style being taught, and then melodic playing and creativity combined. This makes for beautiful bass playing.
