Personal Description:
Online teaching now available! I graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2006 (now Trinity Laban). I have a Bachelor of Music (with Hons) in jazz performance. I am a working musician and play many types of gigs in all genres of music, including jazz, blues, pop, classical, ska funk and world music. I have performed regularly in the UK and abroad with a variety of musicians. bands and ensembles. I have also recorded in New York with top jazz musicians.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching saxophone for over 15 years. I have taught all ages and I am happy to teach total beginners to advanced players.I have taught in schools as well as offering private tuition. I teach all grades in both jazz and classical with excellent results. I am also happy to teach those who simply want to develop their skills, musical creativity and have fun, without the pressure of grades.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to make my lessons enjoyable by finding out about students' learning styles and musical interests and reflecting these in my teaching whilst offering an element of challenge as well. I have a passion for music and I apply my many years of performance experience to my teaching to make lessons inspiring for students.
