Personal Description:

I am a professional freelance trombonist from London. As a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I have had the opportunity to study under some of the top musicians on the British Jazz scene including Stan Sulzmann, Steve Fishwick and Gareth Lockrane as well has having Classical training from world-renowned teacher Peter Gane.

I have performed in a variety of styles across the UK and Europe, including in sold out performances in the London Jazz Festival, and in musical theatre in London's West End.

Tutoring Experience:

I am experienced teaching brass students of all ages and abilities in a range of styles including Classical, Jazz and Pop.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe playing a musical instrument should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. In order to help you get the most out of your instrument, I will help you develop good technique as well as giving ear training. I am experienced in playing a broad range of music so I will be able to help you learn to play in whatever style you are interested in. As I am primarily a Jazz musician, I have the expertise needed to teach improvisation, harmony and theory.

I am more than happy to enter students for graded exams if that is something they are interested in, but I believe the most important thing is that you have a fun and enriching experience learning to play your instrument.
