Personal Description:
I am a very passionate musician, regularly taking part in performances in London. Play the flute (Grade 8 Distinction), piano (grade 6) and oboe (Grade 8 - but that is very rusty!). Love playing the flute, and inspiring others to have a similar love of the instruments. Excellent knowledge of the flute repertoire, and confident teaching to high ABRSM standards. Very friendly, easy to talk to and set students at ease.
Tutoring Experience:
Experienced - during university I tutored the flute, and have also had students in Manchester and Gloucestershire.
Tutoring Approach:
The key point is to ensure the student is genuinely passionate about music, to inspire them to want to practice and improve. The technical details are very important, but also working to improve confidence and performance skills which are transferable to other instruments or walks of life.
