Personal Description:

Professional London based clarinettist offers expert private tuition to students of all ages and abilities.

Having graduated from the Royal College of Music with a MMus Distinction in 2009, I now lead a varied and exciting career as a professional performing clarinettist. I have worked with most of the UK's leading orchestras, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Royal Opera House Orchestra. I perform at many prestigious venues in the UK on a regular basis, such the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Barbican Hall and Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. A passionate soloist and chamber music, I released my first solo album in 2015, which has received excellent reviews. I also run a successful chamber music series here in London, in which I often feature as a soloist and chamber musician.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience dates back to 2003 and I have maintained a 100% pass rate with students I have prepared for exams. I have taught students of all ages and abilities, from beginner through to ABRSM Grade 8 and beyond, including successful preparation for entry to music college junior departments.

My experience in the field of music education is diverse and varied, ranging from teaching students one-to-one from home, to leading and coaching large groups and ensembles at schools and at Saturday music schools/summer courses. My enthusiasm as a tutor comes from my desire to pass on my passion for performing and from my own experience of studying with inspirational teachers at the Royal College of Music, where I studied between 2003 and 2009.

Tutoring Approach:

Lessons are individually tailored to the pupil’s needs and tastes and are designed to be fun and motivating, whilst focusing on the essential fundamentals of playing the instrument and delivering fast and rewarding results.
