Tutoring Approach:

I am a dedicated teacher who believes in every student. There is always a way to reach out to a student and share the passion that you have yourself in music. As a teacher I think it is important to have goals - they could be anything from just having fun with music to excel in taking grades - and to understand how to get there.

My role as an instrumental teacher is in a way to make myself unnecessary. By that I mean that I aim to share every possible tool I possess from my studies and experience with the student so that they can develop healthy practice habits and gain a full pallet of ways to understand the music. My students should never have a shortage of ways to develop, there should always be a way to improve. This includes detecting areas of improvement and ways to develop them into intelligent and promising musicians.

One major part of my studies was the understanding of the body. I spent 6 years of continual Alexander Technique lessons at the RCM as well as priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons in Timani through teachers from The Musicians' Health and Movement Institute in Oslo. I aim to make every student aware of their body and how the body is connected and work.

As a performer I stand out within the classical guitarists as I also have a degree in Historical Performance specialising on the lute instrument theorbo. This means I have a greater understanding of historically informed playing, playing continuo and music history, especially music from the baroque period.
