Personal Description:
Studied at Royal Academy of Music.
Scholarships to study at Liszt Academy, Budapest, Hochschule für Musik. Hamburg.
Début in Purcell Rooms (London).
At present living in Penzance, working as teacher, composer and performer.
Tutoring Experience:
Teach at Penwith College and privately.
Previously in charge of Music for the Isles of Scilly, teaching pupils from year 5 upwards.
Prior to that, Head of Music at Springfield School, Portsmouth.
I have more than 30 years teaching experience, which includes accompanying and coaching students for GCSE /GCE and grade examinations.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy teaching a wide range of musical styles. Beginners and advanced students are equally welcome.
Some students want to take grade exams, others to play by ear or improvise; there are many possibilities.
Together, we can discuss what we want to achieve and then enjoy the process.
